Magnasphere Switches are designed to withstand well-known criminal circumvention techniques of adding an additional magnet in close proximity of a switch to fool the sensor that the door or window remains "closed" even when the door or window is opened. Additionally, standard reed switch based sensors are vulnerable to being welded shut by a stun guns high-voltage also allowing the door or window to be circumvented.

Given that, the door & window sensors comprise the bulk of perimeter detection capability of most systems logic dictates that these devices should not be easily compromised.
